After school art classes are designed for students that love art and just want to make and learn more! Class meets once a week on Thursdays. On months that meet 3 times, the time will be extended 30 min. Each month will be different. Sign up for at least one month at a time.
The 4th and up classes have been designed to give students a very FOCUSED experience with different art mediums, art forms and/or subject matter. Each month the focus will change giving students an opportunity to explore and create something new or hone their skills.
Did you know you can make a very impressive wall hanging with a very simple homemade loom? In this four week class students will use cardboard to construct a simple but functional loom. We will work mostly with the basic tabby weave pattern but break free from perfect straight rows and have fun with waves, fringe and other stitches. After completely this course students should have all the knowledge necessary to make more looms and weavings at home with little to no help.
*finished work will be roughly 8”x15” (will vary per student pace and ability)
