After school art classes are designed for students that love art and just want to make and learn more! Class meets once a week on Thursdays. On months that meet 3 times, the time will be extended 30 min. Each month will be different. Sign up for at least one month at a time.
The 4th and up classes have been designed to give students a very FOCUSED experience with different art mediums, art forms and/or subject matter. Each month the focus will change giving students an opportunity to explore and create something new or hone their skills.
THIS MONTH WE WILL BE MAKING CROPPED ANIMAL PORTRAITS. STUDENTS WILL USE THE GRID DRAWING METHOD TO ENLARGE A PHOTO ONTO CANVAS BOARD. WE WILL THEN BEGIN LEARNING ABOUT ACRYLIC PAINT AND USE IT TO FINISH OUR PORTRAITS. FINISHED ARTWORK WILL BE 14" X 18".
