After school art classes are designed for students that love art and just want to make and learn more! Class meets once a week on Thursdays. On months that meet 3 times, the time will be extended 30 min. Each month will be different. Sign up for at least one month at a time.

The 4th and up classes have been designed to give students a very FOCUSED experience with different art mediums, art forms and/or subject matter. Each month the focus will change giving students an opportunity to explore and create something new or hone their skills.

THIS MONTH'S FOCUS: WATERCOLOR BASICS/ LOVE THEME

HAVE YOU EVER LOOKED AT A WATERCOLOR PAINTING AND WONDERED HOW THE ARTIST MADE ALL THE COLORS FLOAT SO FREELY YET STAY WHERE THEY WANTED THEM? STUDENTS WILL LEARN JUST THAT IN THIS CLASS. WE WILL BEGIN WITH SOME BEGINNER TECHNIQUE SAMPLES ( FLAT WASH, GRADUATED WASH, WET ON WET, SALT) STUDENTS WILL THEN PUT THOSE TECHNIQUES INTO PRACTICE ON THEIR LOVE THEMED FINAL.
