After school art classes are designed for students that love art and just want to make and learn more! Class meets once a week on Thursdays. On months that meet 3 times, the time will be extended 30 min. Each month will be different. Sign up for at least one month at a time.

The 4th and up classes have been designed to give students a very FOCUSED experience with different art mediums, art forms and/or subject matter. Each month the focus will change giving students an opportunity to explore and create something new or hone their skills.

THIS MONTH WE WILL BE LEARNING ABOUT: PAPIER - MACHE!

Papier- Mache..." layers of paper glued and pressed together, molded when moist to form various articles, and becoming hard and strong when dry."

During this 4 week class students will become builders as they construct a vessel (bowl/vase) start to finish from scratch! We will learn about armatures and learn how to add multiple components to the piece to alter the shape. Once dry, students will further enhance their piece with acrylic paints of their choosing.
